* Forage & Grace is honored to spotlight Food Connection—a heart-driven, Asheville-based nonprofit committed to easing hunger and reducing food waste across Western North Carolina.
Since its inception in late 2014, Food Connection has rescued hundreds of thousands of freshly prepared meals from local restaurants, caterers, and institutions, keeping hundreds of tons of edible food from landfills while distributing well over 600,000 meals to neighbors in need across Buncombe, Henderson, and Madison counties. Their innovative Mobile Meals “Fran” project brings no-cost, chef prepared meals directly into communities with limited access, no questions asked.
We are proud that 20% of ticket sales from Peacocking: A Night to Strut will support Food Connection, helping extend their mission to nourish, empower, and uplift our community via a creative, vibrant celebration of Asheville’s resilience, and community.
